OCRI Technology Company of the Year

This award recognizes an organization that has demonstrated
excellence in innovation and a commitment to the Technology
Sector in Ottawa while increasing profitability, community
involvement and embracing sound business fundamentals. A minimum
of three years in operation is required for judges to investigate
positive growth and a proven track record. A confidential
process will be used to validate key performance data.

Next Generation: Executive of the Year
Sponsored by Telfer School of Management
This award recognizes an individual who has had a significant
impact on the success and/or transformation of their organization
as a direct result of their leadership. For this award, executives
are considered those that hold typically senior titles such
as CEO, CFO, COO, President, Vice-President who represent
the next generation’s business leader. Nominees must
have held the position for less than five years.

Technology Commercialization Partnership Award
This award will recognize and celebrate a collaborative effort between an industrial partner and a researcher (or a team of researchers) from a research institution that has led to successful commercialization of a cutting-edge technology developed in the research institution, which in the absence of the collaborative effort would have possibly stayed in the research institution.

Most Promising Start-Up Award
This award is presented to an Ottawa organization that has
the greatest potential to demonstrate excellence in innovation
and a commitment to the Technology Sector while increasing
profitability, community involvement and embracing sound business
fundamentals. This category is reserved for operations that
have been established for less than three years.
